This beautiful, Westmere property is a long gradually sloping site, south west facing, looking over Meola Reef and the reserve walkways. We worked together to create a north-facing courtyard which brings us into the heart of the home and a terrace on the south west which opens up the southwest views over the reef.
Ground entry takes you directly into the homes social, living and entertaining floor, with bedrooms and guest rooms all located above and below. The clever planning of the site has created some wonderful private spaces to the site both in and outside the door.
The concept is a collection of volumes which interlock with each other and cascade down the steep site. The use of different materials create a richness of form and material between indoor and outdoor. It ends up being a house with different aspects, textured and emotional rich.
